Ground subsidence

Q & A

Ground subsidence is mainly linked to intensive shallow water use and eventually the historical natural trend due to the active geology.
Marginal dimensions gas reservoirs’ depletion would not induce appreciable subsidence in the ground.
In the past, the Po Delta subsidence was induced by very superficial wells (few tens of meters) producing gassy waters in big quantities, and the unconsolidated soil collapsed.
The same phenomena was generated by the great depletion of the superficial water reservoirs for anthropic use.
Our gas reservoirs targets are in sandstone, down to circa 1,500mĂ·1,800m and are of limited dimensions.
