CO₂ and poisoning gas emissions can significantly reduce the quality of the air

Q & A

The risk of emissions and fall-out in the surrounding environment is associated to the gas contained in the drilled formations. The geological traps being targeted are shallow and contain biogenic gas only, which is 99.5% methane with no acid gas (no CO, no HS) or liquid hydrocarbons. Emissions in all cases are carefully monitored and controlled.

The risk of accidental emissions is considered very small or negligible. The area is well known and understood, the best industry practices and the measures of prevention will be applied. In the event of drilling, the environmental impact assessment will include the evaluation of such event.
